Recent events

The day of dance workshops on the 8/5/10 were a great success. Brenda taught us some beautiful sections of Allegrias and Solea. The evening of music and dance followed and there was outstanding performances from artists from the North West.

A Peña Evening for the whole North West!

Our friends in Chester (Deva Flamenco) organised an informal peña evening for all groups/individual dancers and musicians in the North West Region.

Edgar Vila in Liverpool! 14 01 10

Xiame, Louis & Edgar

Louis plays with the professionals. Young Talented guitarist Louis, accompanied dancers during the class and later played with Edgar and the other musicians.

 

Edgar played some traditional flamenco pieces, accompanied by singer Manola and some of his own compositions which feature on his latest CD.

El Rincon Latino Christmas Party 23/12/09

A very enjoyable evening with the many friends of El Rincon took place on 23rd December. There were contributions from musicians from South America and Africa, and Freddy and Francisco (kindly) let us dance. More pictures on the gallery page.

Luis returns to Spain.

 

Thanks to Luis for teaching us dance with great energy and enthusiasm. We will miss him, however I'm sure he'll be back for a visit at some point.

Talented Musicians play at Peña Evening 15/11/09

We were honoured to have the very talented professional flamenco guitar player Edgar Vila from Spain performing at the peña. (right on the photograph) He performed a solo set and a set accompanied by xaime, with whom he has been recording and performing with that week.

On Monday 21st September, El Rincon Latino organised a full evening of entertainment to celebrate the International Day of Peace. It was an amazing evening with many talented performers of music and dance. Flamenco de Liverpool dancers performed a short set during the evening. See 'Gallery' page for further photos.
